Garret created Pink Gloves Boxing in 2007 to help a small group of women who wanted to get fit in a positive, empowering environment.
After losing eight pints of blood in an accident in 2007, Garret dedicated his life to finding his potential and helping others do the same.
Armed with nothing but advice from friends and a desire to empower others, Garret transformed Pink Gloves into an international movement that today reaches 15 states and 4 countries.
As Pink Gloves continued to grow, schools asked Garret to come speak to students and spread the message of empowerment and community.
There was only one problem.
Garret had a severe stutter that made public speaking terrifying and impractical.
Impractical, but not impossible. Garret spoke at more than 50 schools. He even went on to compete twice at the World Championship of Public Speaking, finishing in the top 18 of 35,000, and spoke at two TEDx events.
Garret continues to empower the Pink Gloves community around the world.
